About this project

I love Nasi Campur and Nasi Kandar, but I hate waiting in line just for the restaurant worker to miscalculate the total price of my mixed rice plate. During peak lunch hours, manually calculating Nasi Campur (mixed rice) price creates a massive bottleneck. Cashiers rush through eyeballing different dishes, lines crawl, pricing errors cause disputes, and hungry diners walk away frustrated. Meanwhile, stall owners struggle with high labor costs and cannot afford massive enterprise POS machines.

We created Bibora Vision AI to solve this everyday dining headache. It is an intelligent, camera-powered self-checkout kiosk that can scan Nasi Campur and Nasi Kandar plates automatically. Using computer vision, the kiosk instantly recognizes individual curries, meats, and side dishes directly from the plate, itemizes them, and calculates the exact total in seconds. Customers just slide their food tray under the camera and pay seamlessly using DuitNow QR or e-wallets.

Bibora is built specifically for hawker stalls, university cafeterias, and independent food courts that need reliable automation without crazy upfront costs.

This project matters because it eliminates manual human estimation, protects stall owners from revenue leakage, and drastically cuts customer waiting times. By turning chaotic lunch lines into lightning-fast, transparent checkouts, Bibora helps local food vendors serve more customers and grow their business with peace of mind.

Bibora Vision AI is competing at the International Entrepreneurship Convention 2026, 7 and 8 October, Putrajaya.
