About this project

SIMPUL: An Integrated Production, Logistics and Payroll Platform for Home-Based Garment Networks

Small garment businesses in Indonesia often rely on tailors who work from their own homes. Work is assigned by phone and paper, output is checked by hand, wages are calculated from memory, and materials move without proof of delivery. Owners lose visibility, tailors wait for unclear payments, and disputes are hard to settle.

SIMPUL is a working prototype that connects the whole chain in one system. Owners use a web dashboard to record orders, issue work orders (with automatic raw-material deduction from product recipes), inspect quality, and approve payouts. Tailors use a mobile app to receive bundles by scanning QR labels, submit finished work with photo evidence, and see earnings in real time. Couriers use a second mobile app to claim delivery tasks, share live location, and complete a delivery with proof of handover. The recipient confirms receipt by scanning the courier's QR code. Wages are calculated automatically from pieces that pass quality control, and rejected pieces are not paid. Leftover fabric can be verified and sold on SIMPUL Shop, a built-in marketplace.

The platform runs on a shared backend with role-based access, an offline queue so field workers can act without signal, and an automated test suite covering the core flows. Its business model combines a free Starter plan with paid Pro and Enterprise plans that begin with a 30-day trial, plus marketplace and sponsored placements.

SIMPUL is competing at the International Entrepreneurship Convention 2026, 7 and 8 October, Putrajaya.
